picture frames and country roads.

I want to dedicate this post to Kath!! It's her birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTYKAT. You're finally sixteen!

-

I honestly didn't think we'd be friends like this. Seriously. When we were in first year, we weren't classmates. And I was sort of really reserved because I was a new student. I knew her as the girl who liked MCR, wore Converse and was good friends with Matthew. Haha. I knew very little about her. Although later on, I noticed she and I actually did have quite a lot in common.
We did connect through our friends. You know how you become friends with your friends' friends because of them? Haha, yeah. Exactly that. A n d  I  c o u l d n ' t  b e  m o r e  g r a t e f u l.

Come second year, we were actually already pretty close. We weren't classmates (again), so she'd often come by to our classroom and greet me. I still remember when she'd come down during lunch time and we'd spin around in the assembly area and get all dizzy and stuff and not give a care in the world about who saw us, including the security cameras.

Third year was o u r  y e a r. First time we were classmates, but daym, it was like we had been classmates and friends for years and years. We had the best time together. I know we brought class to our class. Haha! It was absolutely amazing doing all kinds of crazy stuff, and it was easier and more fun because we were classmates and we got to see each other everyday. It was also easier in terms of academics, because we helped each other out all the time. She was always one of my go-to people when it came to my (endless) questions. And we shared a whoooooole lot of similar issues that year, may it be our own personal issues, or issues with other people, or school, or anything, you know. We just related so much that year and clicked so much that year. Best.

I even remember how we'd always spend our lunch breaks by the window ledge that overlooked the road and all the buildings around our school. Third year was our year.

Fourth year, though. Nothing can ever compare to fourth year. Because yeah, third year was our year, but fourth year had something really different about it. Because everyone knew that this was the last year, the year that will drown us in goodbyes and nostalgia. We spent a whole lot of time together because we knew we wouldn't have much of it come college. Matthew and I would always go to her house and lounge around and watch movies and talk and laugh and just sort of waste away--together. A good sort of wasting away. Haha.

KATH LOOK AT OUR HAIR. BAGAY =)))

We had a whoooole bunch of shopping trips together in fourth year. Like, I seriously do not remember how many times we have gone together to Forever21. She is one of the only people I can really do this routine with (as well as Karyn).

And we just related about movies, opinions, thoughts, fashion, celebrities, GUYS hahahaha, parents, school, college, e v e r y t h i n g. We shared thoughts and cries and frustrations and happiness and giddiness and rants.

When I look back at it now, I am amazed at how close we've gotten in four years. Especially having known nothing about her in the first year. And I never would have thought we'd be as close as we are now.

She can be my confidence rock sometimes. Especially when I'm feeling like ultimate crap, she always encourages me and helps relate to my situation.

I absolutely love her ugh. I am so grateful to God that I have such an amazing friend like her. She'll be one of those keeper friends, you know. Like, no matter how long you don't talk sometimes because of distance and time constraints, you'll still find a way to be like you've been talking to each other every single day. And I believe that friendship like that is rare, you know. You don't get a lot of people like that in your life. And they're keepers. I've learned, it took quite a number of lessons too, to treat them like priceless gems, because they'll be those little treasures you'll find in life.

Sixteen Sweet years to you, Kittykat! :*

Two of my favorite pictures of us: (it's also funny that our really good ones are always during HSNight hahaha)

and there's nothing I could do, I just gravitate on you.

So.
I have class in less than five hours and I'm still up, sorting my thoughts and wasting time like I always do. I really need to learn how to channel this sort of attitude and energy because once college starts, this laid-back attitude will be completely unacceptable.

I haven't finished my plate number two, and I just completely finished plate number one a couple of hours ago. And I'm talking two plates for one class here. I had a week to do it. I know. Crazy how lazy I am, haha! But yeah. Come college, there is a huge possibility (no exaggeration here; this is coming from straight up experience from a church friend) that I could have like ten plates for simply one class. And I have four majors. This is crazy.

Lately I have been working on a lot of photoshop things just to get a different feel of the art. I like to switch it up a lot of times because as many people know, I am very very indecisive. And also very restless. So I can't stay put on one thing. Including my art.

I have been able to sharpen my photoshop and digital-art skills, so yay. Also, I went on this crazy brush-downloading spree. So I have a bunch of brush sets under my presets right now hahaha.

Here are some of my latest works (and of course, I did work on One Direction because I was able to post them and add them to my edits haha):
One Direction journal background

Zayn Malik ;; watercolor splashes/paintbrush on paper effect

Zayn Malik ;; watercolor/air brush + portrait illusion effect

M o r e  r a n d o m  n e w s :
I might not be able to go to Philippine Fashion Week anymore because of time and transpo problems. It's pretty far, and my cousin is going to be there the entire day, and I can't be there the entire day because I have camp the next day and have to prepare/rest. And no one can bring me there later, so.
Yeah it really pisses me off, you know. Because right now, I feel like there is so much being taken away from me due to this camp.

I mean, it isn't really the camp or the people that I'm frustrated with. It's time. I'd love to go to camp, sure, but the time makes everything just so crappy.

Like I was so mad and frustrated that I actually made a whole list of things that I'm going to miss:

  1. The American Idol finale. A lot of people are frustrated, okay. Me, my brother, Abby, etc etc.
  2. Fun Run in Philam. I was so psyched to join this one because it was in the neighborhood! And Philam never has fun runs, okay. So it sucks.
  3. Batch run. Not a run like a fun run this time. Haha. But for CRS. I'm really really praying they have internet in the camp venue because I'm going to need to check if I got all my classes (and this doesn't just apply to me but to Kuya Josh and Hannah Port as well because they will also need to know their schedules).
  4. One Direction Live DVD Tour Premiere (special screening) in Megamall. This. Ohmyfxckinggosh. I'm sorry but I cannot even explain how angry and sad and heartbroken and grief-stricken and sick-to-my-stomach I am when I think about missing this, okay. Like, no. This is just unacceptable. No. No. This is only one day. And I had to miss the one day. No. NO. I am swearing in my head rn
  5. Philippine Fashion Week. So PHFW is in fact, week-long. Ugh.
  6. Joe Jonas in Trinoma. My childhood boyfriend. Only feet away from my neighborhood. In my home-mall. And I'm not going to be there. ESKLFJDSKFKSDJLFIOSDFJIODSFJ OMFG
  7. Possible chances of meeting Ian Somerhalder. Yes. He's going to be in PHFW (idk which day tho). And probably in the malls.
  8. All possible time to meet up with friends for the last time before college starts.

And okay. Let me explain. ALL OF THESE THINGS MEAN A LOT TO ME OKAY. This isn't just some stupid rant because I'm missing things I like and all that. No. Okay. I really genuinely wanted all of these things, to do all of these things. It literally breaks my heart to know that I can't attend them.

And I know that this camp is important. But ohmygosh, I'm sorry I can't help it. I am just so angry. It could have been ANY OTHER WEEK okay I did NOTHING this week

I am so angry and it's so lskjfksdfsdkfhsdfsdfhdksjflsjdfljsdkflsdfj

Okay I'm done. Rant over.

For now.

now the chase is on.

I kind of miss painting. It's funny because I got into CFA - PAINTING. Hahahaha. No but seriously, it always seems like such a chore.
To be honest, painting really is more challenging. Paint can be a harder medium than pens and colored pencils or pastels, sometimes.
I think it also seems like a chore to me because you need the palette, constantly clean your brushes, a water container, a canvas, patience to wait for the paint to dry.
Also the smell is an issue. Truthfully, it isn't that much of an issue to me. I breathe paint, lol not to get high or anything hahahaha. But you know, it's a familiar scent. Will always be. But my mother has this issue with it `cause it isn't good, you know. And I don't want to open my windows because lol spiders always enter ugh. And I detest spiders. So much. Just typing down the word gives me shivers. Ugh.
As much as I can, I'll try to get back to it before school starts. And I know that there will only be a few days left when I get back from Singapore, but it's always worth a try. I feel like I need to refresh myself as much as I can because I'm going to be starting my majors right when the first day comes.

It is quite intimidating, to be honest. I mean, I sort of feel like I'm going to be so amateur and so young to be taking majors immediately. They usually come in the second or third year, sometimes. And the fact that it's coming in my freshman year sort of intimidates me a bit. But I need to get rid of that intimidation as soon as possible because that is all that the college wants to do to you. Intimidate you and make you crack under the pressure. For a good reason, I presume. Haha! No, but seriously. I'm sure it's just to push the students to make them excel. They call themselves "iskolars ng bayan" for a reason.

Random thoughts.
But at least I'm updating.
